General Description:
Reporting to the General Sales Manager, this position will perform a wide range of duties supporting the sales department, all intended to improve decision-making, customer satisfaction, and profitability.

Essential functions and responsibilities:
Essential functions and responsibilities include:

o Analyze sales-related data and prepare and make individual or group presentations, explaining results, comparison to plan, trends, etc.
o Gather, consolidate, analyze, and synthesize data, using it to generate, model, project, and present sales forecasts.
o Identify sales, order-fulfillment, and inventory system/process enhancements. Develop user system and report requirements, and work with program developers to create, test, and implement reports and systems to improve sales information and decision effectiveness.
o Perform analyses and present findings and recommendations as needed regarding sales volume and price, inventory volume, turns, and age, order fulfillment parameters, results, and requirements, product specifications and requirements, customer claims, and any other business related area as required.
o Identify, develop, and implement sales-related metrics and corresponding communications systems.
o Work with customer service group to analyze, identify, and implement improvements to customer service, order entry and scheduling, and transportation processes.
o Variously lead and participate on kaizen teams that analyze and improve business processes.
o Serve as owner of the customer claims process, leading efforts to respond to customer feedback and to continuously improve the process.
o Work with sales and business staff to fulfill other sales process responsibilities as needed.
o Traveling as-needed to customer locations and industry events.
o Build productive working relationships with staff in all areas of the business, and with customers as-needed.


Qualifications – Required:
The successful candidate will have an undergraduate business-related or equivalent degree. He/she will have several years of related experience in business analysis, sales, customer service, transportation, and/or logistics, as well as experience in process improvement initiatives and implementation.
